The inaugural California International Documentary Film Festival will take place in the Central Valley and Bay Area of California from December 12 to 17, 2009.
This non-competitive, global showcase will be dedicated to promoting gifted documentarians by cultivating knowledge and understanding of our world through non-fiction cinema and dynamic storytelling - and presenting their works to diverse audiences in California.
The festival will showcase a vibrant and exhilarating set of programs, featuring new works, new directors, American and international documentaries, a spotlight on California documentarians, special projects, works-in-progress, panels, tributes to celebrated storytellers, creative conversations with guest artists, galas, and other unique programs.
As this festival project is currently in development, more information will be released in 2009.
