Andrea Lodovichetti, director of "Sotto il mio giardino" (Under My Garden) was present during Cinema Italia.
The Pacific Italian Alliance and the San Joaquin Film Society presented an exclusive VIP reception to welcome Director Lodovichetti, on Friday, February 20th, at 7:30PM. The festive evening featured candid conversations, photo-ops, appetizers, desserts, and live entertainment.
Biography
Andrea Lodovichetti was born in Fano, Italy, in 1976. Graduated with a degree in Film Directing from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – National Shool of Cinema in Rome in 2005 - he is an assistant director for Paolo Sorrentino (movies: “L’amico di famiglia,” also known as “The Family Friend”; and Fesival de Cannes Jury Prize “Il Divo”). He has written and directed several short films and has won many distinguished international awards. His cinematic works have been exhibited all around the world - Argentina, Canada, Estonia, France, Morocco, Spain, USA, United Kingdom - in national, educational, and international competitions. In 2008, he was selected as the winner of the "Looking for Genius" prize of Spike Lee's Babelgum Film Festival for his film "Sotto il mio giardino (Under My Garden)." The Babelgum competition received over 1,000 entries from 86 countries. A founder of Lobecafilm along with business partner, Luca Caprara, he has produced and shot several commercial works and documentaries; and is currently writing screenplays for feature films.
