The 2nd San Joaquin International Film Festival (SJIFF2), the flagship annual exhibition of the San Joaquin Film Society took place May 14 to 23, 2009 with a glorious world showcase of new and innovative works from emerging talents and seasoned international artists, presented in the heart of California's Central Valley. A special Encore Day took place on Sunday, May 24th.

Returning to Stockton, California for its second edition, SJIFF2 showcased an exciting and diverse collection of 123 films from 41 countries around the world! Experience Argentina, Austria, Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, Guatemala, India, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Latvia, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malaysia, México, The Netherlands, Nicaragua, Pakistan, the Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Uganda, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America - through film!
