From May 14th to May 23rd, the San Joaquin International Film Festival returned for its second edition! The 2nd San Joaquin International FIlm Festival (SJIFF2), the flagship annual exhibition of the San Joaquin Film Society, is a glorious world showcase of new and innovative works from emerging talents and seasoned international artists, presented in the heart of California's Central Valley. Spanning ten days, along with an Encore eleventh day, SJIFF2 presented a dynamic selection of 123 fascinating new films from 41 countries in Stockton, California.

SJIFF2 presented extraordinary events and programmes in historic and cultural venues across Stockton, including: the world-class Bob Hope (Fox) Theatre, the enchanting art-house Stockton Empire Theatre; the intimate Matinée Movie Lounge; the regal Faye Spanos Concert Hall at University of the Pacific; “Celebrate! Animania” Family Day at The Haggin Museum.
As one of May’s most anticipated cultural arts and entertainment event in the Valley, SJIFF2 brings in a multifarious group of people from the homebase of the Stockton-San Joaquin region, with audiences from the Sacramento Valley, Stanislaus-Fresno Counties, the Great San Francisco-Bay Area, and Southern California. In addition, expected guests will be flying in from around the world, along with media exposure, news, reviews, and information broadcasted in various formats to people around the world.

This extremely bold and colorful emblem celebrates the global spirit of the festival, where the compass is a guide that can direct us to anywhere on this planet! This spirited emblem exudes diversity, excitement, multi-culturalism, internationalism. vibrancy, and progression.

The San Joaquin Film Society, Inc. (SJFS) is the benchmark cinema arts organization in California's 400-mile Central Valley. The Film Society is home to the annual San Joaquin International Film Festival and year-round World Cinema Series. The Film Society celebrates cinema arts, multi-cultural appreciation, and global outreach through year-round productions of festivals and educational programs.The Film Society is dedicated to celebrating the artistry, diversity, and power of filmmaking, bringing the world's best, rarest, and newest works in cinema arts and media discoveries to the Valley.
